Why does the Bible talk about "blood" so much? In chapter 17 of Leviticus we get an answer to that question. Tucked into one of the regulations for Israel, we see an important theological and practical truth about "the blood". No surprise, it all points to Jesus. 

Leviticus 16 deals with arguably the holiest day on the Jewish Calendar, The Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur. This high day dealt with offerings to cover the sins of the entire nation of Israel. Once more, we will see how every part of it points to Jesus and His work of atonement for us on the cross. 

Pastor Jason continues his study through Leviticus. Chapter 15 concludes a section dealing with the laws of "Clean & Unclean". Once more we see Jesus as the cure and the source of redemption from any and all "spiritual" uncleanness in us! 

In this message, Pastor Jason looks at the calling of the twelve disciples. This message was also a special update as to what the Lord is doing personally in the lives of Jason and his family. Leviticus 14 finishes a section of the law dealing with "leprous disease". Once more we will see how leprosy is a type and picture of sin. As Pastor Jason will expound on, leprosy was to be taken seriously and dealt with severely, and so it is with sin in our lives. 

Pastor Jason continues his study through the Old Testament book of Leviticus. Chapter 14 deals with a somewhat confusing ceremony that actually has wonderful, theological, and practical applications. Once more we see Leviticus is the "seed-bed" of New Testament theology. 

John 21 is the classic passage of Peter's restoration after his failure of denying Jesus three times. Pastor Jason zero's in on an exhortation that Jesus gives Peter to "follow" Him. 

Pastor Jason brings an encouraging word from Genesis 16. As Hagar finds herself in a hopeless, helpless, situation, she encounters the "God who sees". The Lord sees us as well. He knows our situation and is our very present help in time of need. 

Pastor Jason takes a look at a familiar passage from the book of James. This exhortation by James to "count it all joy" when going through trials, at first glance seems un-realistic. However, as Pastor Jason shows us, James is not making a light and empty statement. There are wonderful reasons that we as Christians can truly rejoice in the midst of trials and temptations.

Pastor Jason continues his series on prayer as he looks at Daniel chapter 9. In this chapter we have Daniel's classic, passionate, prayer for his nation. It is a fitting and timely word, as we prepare for the 2020 National Day of Prayer.
