Why does the Bible talk about "blood" so much? In chapter 17 of Leviticus we get an answer to that question. Tucked into one of the regulations for Israel, we see an important theological and practical truth about "the blood". No surprise, it all points to Jesus.

Leviticus 16 deals with arguably the holiest day on the Jewish Calendar, The Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur. This high day dealt with offerings to cover the sins of the entire nation of Israel. Once more, we will see how every part of it points to Jesus and His work of atonement for us on the cross.

Leviticus 14 finishes a section of the law dealing with "leprous disease". Once more we will see how leprosy is a type and picture of sin. As Pastor Jason will expound on, leprosy was to be taken seriously and dealt with severely, and so it is with sin in our lives.
